“Our biggest goal is to provide free Funeral Flowers for babies lost in pregnancy or infant loss whose parents are worried about funeral expenses.”

How it all began

We’re Jordy and Spensor Smith, the owners of Wild Spring Flowers. Our little flower farm is nestled on a mountain bench in the most beautiful corner of Utah called Spring Lake. Having a flower farm was a pipe dream, and not something Jordy thought was reality.

After being married for over 2 years, we were diagnosed with Unexplained Infertility. However, after multiple unsuccessful fertility treatments, we were shocked to find we conceived our son naturally. We lived in bliss for 22 weeks until our son, Liam, was stillborn on February 9, 2022.

Following this immense loss, Jordy was finally ready to jump into the dream of having a flower farm. Jordy had experienced so much loss, she needed to do something to bring happiness into her life again. They started putting bulbs into the ground in Fall 2022.

We pride ourselves on working together in our flower farm. Spensor built (and continues to build) all the flower boxes and Jordy designed the flower farm. We start seeds indoors and divide dahlias together.

Wild Spring Flowers grows seasonal blooms from Spring through Fall. The various flowers we grow consist of; tulips, daffodils, peonies, strawflowers, scabiosa, zinnias, and many many Dahlias plus so much more. Growing flowers has been a very healing process for both us. It has been our grief garden.

Life Currently.

2023 was our first growing season, it was also the season that Jordy was pregnant via IVF with our second child, Lillie. Lillie was born at 24 weeks on November 8th, 2023, very premature due to Severe Preeclampsia. Lillie lived for 25 days and passed on December 3, 2023.

We recently welcomed our 3rd child via Gestational Carrier (100% our baby, carried by our friend). And we are still just as determined to provide free flowers to the funerals of other loss babies in the Utah County area.

We host multiple U-pick events throughout the growing season when people can come to the farm and cut their own bouquet. Jordy also does floristry work for weddings and events.
